The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK PHRST, https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-team-of-health-experts-to-tackle-global-disease-outbreaks) will be part of the UK offer to ODA-eligible low and middle income countries when support is needed to rapidly respond to and investigate outbreaks with the potential to become significant public health events. The UK PHRST will continually monitor infectious diseases and other hazards globally, identifying situations where the deployment of specialist expertise could mitigate these threats. You will be a Registered Nurse, with clinical trials experience at Band 6 or above. You will have experience of working in clinical studies of infectious diseases and will have delivered healthcare in low and middle income countries. You will have evidence of continuous professional/academic development. Knowledge of performing clinical assessments of patients is essential. Fluency in a foreign language would be highly desirable, but not essential.
