Emmanuelle coordinates the African coaLition for Epidemic Research, Response and Training (ALERRT), funded by the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) to reduce the public health and socio-economic impact of (re-)emerging and epidemic-prone infectious diseases through building a sustainable clinical and laboratory research preparedness and response network across sub-Saharan Africa. Emmanuelle oversees the management of the Multi-centre EuRopean study of Major Infectious Disease Syndromes (MERMAIDS), which is part of the PREPARE (Platform for European Preparedness Against (Re-)emerging Epidemics) project. Emmanuelle also manages the Training Curriculum on the conduct of clinical research during epidemics (CREDO) which is a joint project between ERGO/ISARIC and the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) based at the WHO.
